Stampli is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive the development and implementation of AI-based solutions that solve complex business challenges across our innovative SaaS platform.

- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based agentic systems.
- Proven ability to take ML/LLM solutions from research to production, from exploring and prototyping through validation to a production-grade rollout.
- Strong evaluation skills: building labeled eval sets, defining metrics, and running offline benchmarks and shadow or A/B comparisons.
- Experience deploying and owning models or services in production, including APIs (FastAPI), queue-based async processing, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
- Ability to investigate production behavior with logs, metrics and data, find the root cause of quality issues, and verify fixes.
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS (S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Bedrock).
- Strong Python engineering: clean, testable code (pytest), async, typed data models (Pydantic), Git and code review. (advantage)
- Experience with retrieval and search: embeddings, vector or hybrid search (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), and RAG. (advantage)
- Experience with document AI: OCR, layout and table understanding, and invoices or financial documents. (advantage)
- Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, and experiment tracking (MLflow). (advantage)
- Experience with big data and data warehouses (Redshift or similar). (advantage)
