• 15+ years of professional experience building software systems in Development.
• Proven track record in technical leadership roles, delivering complex cross-functional projects.
• Deep understanding of architecture, scalability, and operations of an engineering organization delivering enterprise software.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent), and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong coding skills in one or more modern backend languages (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, Java, C#).
• Power user of AI-first development tools (Claude Code / Cursor / other agents / MCP servers etc.)
• Strong technical leadership skills - able to align technical directors and executives towards a shared technical vision.
• First principles thinking - ability to break down your recommendations to the basic technical truths behind them.
• Advantage: experience delivering products to developers / highly technical customers.
