- 5+ Years of Senior Production Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Backend or Platform Engineer shipping software that runs in production at scale.
- End-to-End Execution: Ability to unpack ambiguous problems, perform the necessary research, draw up a solid architectural plan, and execute to completion.
- Architecture & Clean Code Mindset: Deep appreciation for event-driven systems, clean abstractions, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and high standards for software quality and maintainability.
- Core Technical Baseline: Hands-on experience writing production code in TypeScript (NestJS) and/or Python, along with familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Terraform) and microservices.
- Production Craft & Observability: Real-world experience diagnosing production issues, handling scale/load bottlenecks, and implementing robust logging, tracing, and metrics.
- Impact-First & Collaborative: A team player who is passionate about AI, driven by creating real leverage for other developers, and focused on business outcomes.
