- 7+ years of backend software development experience, including designing and owning production systems end-to-end
- The team works primarily in TypeScript/Node.js. Strong backend engineering skills are required, but excellence in another language isn't a blocker
- Proven track record taking systems from 0 to 1 under real ambiguity, without an existing playbook
- Strong system architecture and design skills, able to make reliability, latency, and scale tradeoffs independently
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Comfortable exploring new and unproven technologies, quick to prototype and validate
- Good collaboration skills, comfortable partnering across the organization as needed to move your work forward
- Hands-on production experience with AI agent systems - a strong advantage
- Information security or identity platform background - an advantage
- Experience with NestJS, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Nx monorepos - an advantage
